James Brett Offley (C3 VIII.) was a farmer of Beacon Hill Farm in Terrington St. Clements (nr. Kings Lynn), Norfolk (bapt. Long Sutton, Lincs, 27 Oct 1825). He married Susannah Mallett in June 1854. She was baptised in Spalding, Lincs on 7 May 1830 and was the daughter of Farmer and Elizabeth Mallett. James Brett Offley died on 12 May 1860, of Scarlet Fever, 2 months before the birth of his younger daughter Caroline Jane.
